Most people are used to taking their camera when they travel to faraway lands. In just a single click, the memories of another culture can be permanently immortalized on film. KAZoART's photographers have scouted the world for your pleasure. Discover our selection of unique and original travel photography!
Humanist photographer Robert Frank (Trolley, New Orleans) was interested in the humanity present in every situation, from walking in the street to travelling on public transport.
Landscape photographers like Stephen Shore (Hudson Valley) and Ansel Adams (Moon Over Half Dome) aim to make us feel like other worlds and cultures are within easy reach. They bring us beautiful photos of travel and magnificent landscapes, sometimes completely untouched by man. To capture the moment and light, these photographers must constantly adapt to their environment.
As the saying goes, it's all about the journey not the destination. Because travelling is an adventure in itself. The people we meet on the road and whilst moving from one place to another force us to look at the world in a new light. Transport is a favoured subject of photographers, and trains, boats, cars and planes are all synonymous with journey photography.
Whatever the reason for the trip, photographers have successfully captured the opposing feelings experienced by travellers, from anticipation, to excitement about reaching their destination.
It would be a mistake, however, to imply that the destination has no importance at all. We travel to escape our daily lives and explore new horizons. Landscapes feed our thirst for travel and are favoured subjects for Galen Rowell and Alex Boyd, who emphasize the fleeting beauty of nature in their travel photography.
