Marguerittes (30), France
I was born in Nîmes, the last of a family of three children. A difficult adolescence affected my schooling and even led me on twisted paths, but common sense prevailed.
Entering the world of work was not easy, I worked in various jobs, without ever finding satisfaction.
I had a strong feeling that my place was elsewhere.
It was at the Strasbourg Christmas market that I was attracted to an exhibitor of small works made from metal bolts.
I had the immediate feeling that I would be able to tame this material by being totally foreign to the way it was worked, having never welded it, for example.
Naturally, my inspiration will focus on the bullfighting world of the Camargue and bullfighting.
Once in my makeshift workshop, nothing mattered anymore, all my existential anxieties, my doubts, my fears vanished.
The sense of self-satisfaction with creation took away from me this lack of trust.
It has become vital for me, I am dependent on it, I don’t see my life any other way.
I also discovered that people could love me for what I do, which is why I am the happy hostage.
