Alain Voinot mainly works with pastel on black backgrounds to highlight the light, in contrast. He is in the line of the Impressionists because what predominates for him are emotions and direct perceptions, which, thanks to the magic of pastel, are transformed into coloured touches placed on paper in a more instinctive than intellectual way.
