From the south of her childhood, she kept the intense colors. On this vibrant palette a whole poetic universe is set up, with the idea of extracting the best from the world, purging its sorrows, and inviting to a form of contemplation by choosing optimism. The artist puts this poetry into words in the books she sometimes writes for children’s books. The technique serves the purpose: conciseness, structured compositions in a permanent graphic research, like palimpsests magnifying nature. Away from academism, it was after playing with watercolour and oil that the artist turned to acrylic, combining brushes and knives to constantly exploit and explore this medium rich in possibilities that lends itself so well to inventiveness. It prepares coloured backgrounds beforehand and then superimposes transparent, scraped, stretched, uneven layers, seeking above all the vibration of the effects of structures, reliefs, and materials. Sometimes including, sparingly, printed papers, ink, pastel, sand... just to show... and to brush! "For me, painting reality for reality is of no interest. I want to stay on the edge, bypass the boring narrative of an academic figuration, propose free interpretations, tend towards fiction, dream more. As in writing, anything is allowed! »
