PAXAL incorporates into his creations a diversity of detail, of motifs that remind us of the universes created by Jerome Bosch, Arcimboldo, Dali, Clovis Trouille, or indeed other designs including tattoos, comic strips or Aztec graphics. So many sources of inspiration will come to mind while exploring his universe.
Fascinated by linework since he was a child, Paxal lets his imagination run free on paper and various other supports. After enrolling in the School of Fine Arts at the age of 15, he worked in advertising then moved on to publishing. During these years, he never stopped the dedication to his passion. Never stopped devoting himself entirely to his craft with appetite and compulsion.
With Paxal, everything is in the details. The subject is only a pretext, a support for his creation, a fragment of the secret message contained in the work itself. To detect the main focus of the piece, we must slowly let all the details that make up or accompany the motif come to light.
As in the proverb of the wise man who points to the moon, here the subject is only an index. It exists only to draw the eye to what comes next; an abundance of subtle elements, sometimes funny, often mystical, which express feelings and tell a story.
