CHARLEYNé in Biarritz in 1989, graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Biarritz and the École Supérieure de scénographie de Monaco in the Bosio pavilion. A photographer since his beginnings, the artist has always photographed nudes, attracted by both the female and male nudes. In his work it is always about the body of curves and materials. For the artist, a question arises, how to reveal their shapes, their muscles, to give them another dimension? "I always wanted to distance myself from simple photography. Even if the final result remains a photograph. The final work is the result of an accumulation of several processes mixing drawings, sculptural research, projection, light work and of course photography. I am neither a draftsman, nor a photographer, nor a sculptor but perhaps an unstable mix of the three at the same time. Unstable, because I also like to leave a lot of room for experimentation in my work, we think we know what a body is but all are different, none of them reacts in the same way to light and each one gives a result that is unique to him each time. In his works Charley makes nude portraits mixing drawings, photographs and sculptures. His portraits highlight the female and male bodies. Its objective is to reveal all the facets that the bodies have to reveal to us thanks to its effects of light: Charly N’doumbe by...Dominique Romano" Charly Ndoumbe brings a very interesting and shifted look on the body. His approach can be sensual and brutal at the same time, sometimes provocative and sometimes naive, always with a touch of fascination for the feminine/male ambivalence of the bodies he loves as much as he abuses them. "Dominique Romano is an entrepreneur and founder of Guibor, an investment company. Guibor is an important player in the art sector in France, convinced that talent without support has less chance of being expressed, in a closed and highly selective market. www.guibor.com
