Taverny (95), France
An atypical career path and a fidelity to bright colours are the determining points of Valentine Savova's artistic creation. Of Bulgarian origin, she lived for a long time in Paris and currently resides in the Paris region.
Passionate about drawing and painting since childhood, driven by an affinity with foreign languages and literature, she has spent many years in drawing and university studies. At the same time, her curiosity to experiment with different techniques and materials led her to watercolour, oil painting, painting on fabric, wood, ceramics and many others.
Carried away by the wind of artistic adventure, she found herself one day in Paris, where her watercolours began to be bought regularly by fabric publishers. Without stopping searching and experimenting, she also developed a taste for new technologies and creative tools. Mixing techniques became her favourite recipe.
Valentine Savova has been painting and transmitting for several years. Fascinated by the colours and the superposition of their myriad shades in vibrant harmonies, she lets herself be guided by the mixed technique, with all the whims and surprises that go with it. The inspiration and palette are drawn from nature, the plant world, flowers, the aquatic world, the sea, boats,...
With an instinctive search for luminous and vitamin-rich ranges, her paintings convey purely aesthetic messages, flashes of light with invigorating and enchanting shades, light and beneficial. Over the years, the artistic gesture has moved further and further away from the concrete, to effuse itself in its evocation of memory spray. The concrete forms love to lose themselves in the abstract with joy and without pretension. Valentine Savova defines her artistic expression as a lyrical abstraction.
