Clodel peintre

The spectacle of Nature often echoes what happens at Clodel. The artist has never sought to represent or imitate her. It was through the exercise of contemplation that she discovered her desire to paint. The calm of the water, the yellow reflection on a leaf, a touch of pink flowers, the clarity of the light: so many sources of inspiration for Clodel.

Gradually, the artist wanted to capture the wind, represent the void and invent new spaces. Nature has also taught him not to prefer one colour to another, because they are all the same.

It is their composition and the harmony that emerges from them that is important to him. Clodel aspires to paint the emergence of life, the jolts of matter in gestation and the dialogue of water with flowers.
