In the work of Arthur Djoroukhian, painting the human being is a counterpoint to his research on objects produced by humanity.
During his stay in New York, the artist wanted to paint those who make the world every day. The dimension of memory is at the heart of this series of characters: worker, singer, walker, reader, woman and her dog exist for a moment in the artist's eye and for eternity in the eye of the beholder.
The purity of the white backgrounds give the subject a new breadth. It is a question of enlightenment. The spectator is then so close to the character that he can hear his breath.
Graduate of the DZERJINSK School of Fine Arts (Russia) and the School of Art Restoration of SOUZDAL (Russia).
