In the work of Arthur Djoroukhian, painting humans comes to counterpoint their research on objects produced by humanity. During his New York stay, the artist wanted to paint those who make the world every day. The memorial dimension is the heart of this series of characters: worker, singer, walker, reader, woman and his dog exist for a moment in the artist's eye and for eternity in that of the viewer. The purity of white funds give the subject a new magnitude. It is a question of enlightening. The spectator is so close to the character that he can hear his breath.
