In his work, Yan I. wonders about the body, or rather about the inside of the body that we carry, feel and touch. On what we are given to see and touch through sensation, the flesh.
Flesh moved by rhythms, intensities, impulses... flesh which is "the basic movement of our existence". There is in his plastic research a desire to incarnate, to anchor the body in the being; to anchor beings in bodies, their bodies; to anchor them in this vast space between life and death.
Through the flesh, Yan I. wonders about the unity of the body, about what is missing or is missing from it, in one part, making it a fragment.
