Erika Schwinte is a visual artist. After having practiced ceramic sculpture, she is now happily taking up work as a colourist. She uses acrylic paint for its immediacy and oil paint for its depth.
Erika Schwinte expresses herself exclusively through colour. She follows in the footsteps of the Abstract Expressionists, particularly the Women such as Joan Mitchell and Helen Frankenthaler. Her influences also include the work of Matisse, Mark Rothko and Eva Hesse.
DNAP Art with Mention in June 2004 at the Beaux Arts of Grenoble.
The following year Erika Schwinte was awarded a 6-month scholarship (Erasmus) to join the Suzhou Institute of Textile and Ceramic Design in China.
In 2006, Erika Schwinte continues her plastic research within the formation of the "Maison de la Céramique de Dieulefit", with porcelain as her preferred medium.
Since March 2015, she has been painting in the workshops of the old mills of Pont-de-Barret. (In Provencal Drome)
