Belgian painter and pastel artist born in 1957 in Watermael-Boitsfort, Michel Leclercq was trained in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels
His work is the result of a long research on the rendering of colours and skin texture. The colors of the skin, the mystery rendered by the shadows of the sun on it and the mimicry with nature form a new and almost abstract vision of the body and more particularly of the female nude.
Michel Leclercq generally works on large formats in dry pastel on handmade paper or in oil on linen canvas.
