Jinks Kunst, born in Switzerland in 1976, is a self-taught multidisciplinary visual artist. He hijacks traffic signs, makes realistic paintings using stencils and plays with pixels by creating portraits with legos, cigarette filters or beer capsules.
He is lulled into art by his grandfather, an art ceramist (best in France), poet and inventor. At the end of the 1980s, rap music and culture punctuated his life. He is then challenged by the visual of Mode2 in the skateboard magazine NoWay, then by the cover of the album "Chromatique", of the Swiss group Sens Unik, signed by Lazoo of the MAC collective.
He starts sketching graffiti lettering. Since the beginning of the 2000s, Jinks participates in exhibitions and events in France and abroad (Switzerland, Italy, England, Cambodia, Benin, Senegal, Nepal, United States...). His works are present in several private collections, and published in a dozen international books.
Jinks Kunst travels in order to share and transmit his artistic technique and thus develop the social link around a participative project.
