Spray Yarps is a French visual artist, draughtsman and stencil artist-portraitist who began his career under this palindrome in 1985. In 1990, at a time when street artists such as Jérome Mesnager, Blek, Epsylon or Ernest Pignon were emerging, he joined the Zen Copyright collective, a group of stencil artists where he met Le Bateleur (RIP), one of the precursors of urban art in the 80s and 90s.

Spray Yarps reinterprets portraits of famous personalities and other popular icons, whether they are adulterated or controversial. Over time, his stencils evolve into collage where he includes pages from old newspapers or books, and the artist diversifies his supports (electronic cards, targets, posters and other pages written from detective stories). A bit provocative, fond of shocking images, he sometimes adds an offbeat, even politically engaged thought of humour, enamelled with onomatopoeia and tasty puns that are his personal touches.

Yarps' work is now represented in galleries, fairs and public interventions. It has also joined many private collections.

This artist is exceptionally presenting his works on KAZoART as part of the Street Art Sale for Emmaus International.
