Urban visual artist Marlène EHRHARD lives and works in Paris. After attending the Ecole des Arts Décos in Paris, Visual Communication section, she first worked as an illustrator for magazines and as an Artistic Director in Communication, in agencies and freelance. Then Marlène felt the need to also engage in a more personal work of pictorial and plastic expression and started painting at the end of the 80s. She then frequented underground circles and joined the group Art-Cloche, a collective of artists who paint in squatted industrial wastelands and develop their artistic expression there. There she painted her first murals, and since then others, some of which are still visible: Couvent des Récollets in Paris 10th district, Club Relais Centre d'accueil des jeunes in Bagneux, La Jarry in Vincennes.

She produces multiple artistic creations, drawings, paintings on canvas or wood, sculptures and assemblages of various materials, which give rise to numerous collective and personal exhibitions. Then she imperatively looks for a more stable place than artistic squats to develop her production and pursue her research. Thus, she set up her studio first in Montmartre, then in Pantin where she was welcomed in 2005 in the artists' collective ""Ventre de La Baleine"", a former factory transformed into workshops and music studios. She has been in residence there ever since.

From 2008, Marlène EHRHARD goes back to urban art. She sticks in the street thousands of stickers ""Respect"". These stickers represent a heart, a motif made up of the faces of two lovers, one black and the other white, kissing. She thus conveys a message carrying the symbolism of Yin and Yang, inviting Respect and Tolerance. Punctuated by these scattered stickers, one can discover in the streets of Paris its brightly coloured posters, signed ME or ME-PARIS. They are variations of the paintings on canvas made in his studio. Marlène features painters, poets, artists or thinkers, men and women she loves. Each poster is enhanced with paint, inscriptions or quotations, and thus stuck on urban walls. Each work is thus unique, both the posters and the creations on canvas, all made in the studio.

Through her work, Marlène EHRHARD willingly expresses her support for causes she believes are just. She is involved with associations such as Act Up and AIDS prevention, Coluche and the Restos du Coeur, Emmaüs, Emmaüs International, or for the fight against breast cancer through prevention, for equal rights for all, by relaying the #MeToo movement against sexual violence as well as the anti-racism movement #BlackLivesMatter against police violence.

This artist is exceptionally presenting his works on KAZoART as part of the Street Art Sale for Emmaus International.
