S.Maître

For Sabine Maître, in Art since she was 14 years old, from the profession of glass painter and Glass Artist, evolved in 2002 self-taught towards metal sculpture, the creative moment takes place on her drawing board.

Sketches and plans follow one another and become more precise until the balance of her future work seems to her to have been reached. Then comes the execution, methodical, disciplined. Elegance and sobriety are at the base of his creation, but the message would not be complete without the wink of an eye that consists in questioning the basic idea.

Thus, the oblique side of such and such an element of the object, the fragile pedestal on which rests an imposing construction, reflect the ironic look of the artist who, faced with the excesses of our civilization, expresses his doubts. Man is not absent from Sabine Maître's artistic considerations.

Everyone feels the message in his own way and answers his own question, the one he carries within him, often without knowing it. Hence the richness of an encounter with such creations.
