Léo GALAMEZ was born in 1979 in Pas-de-Calais. At the age of 41, the painter already has a very specific style, both in terms of his technique and his universe. His paintings are realized on acrylic canvas. He has also recently been experimenting with oil. Very often his paintings use bright colours and are of large dimensions. They are abstract variations to which, in order to leave the interpretation as open as possible, no title is given. The works exude energy, extravagant vitality, poetry and playful spontaneity. They are based on a motif that reinvents itself ad infinitum, in the image of the countless cells that constitute us. Her initial approach is inspired by cell biology and the study of tissues, a reference that comes from her medical studies. Her current sources are nature and music. Through this spurt of simple yet mysterious and exciting forms and colours that testify to a subtle aesthetic research, the artist seeks to "astonish the eye and transmit strength".
