Sophie Raskopf

Originally from Paris and having her studio in Brussels, Sophie has constantly reinvented herself in art, starting her career as a Press Attaché at Warner, then moving on to fashion alongside Anne Fontaine.

She has been painting portraits in oil on linen canvas, with unusual framing. A neo-pop art work, with urban influences, while remaining elegant with a touch of haute couture that she claims, Sophie's black and white portraits of a disconcerting realism are energetically enhanced with vivid colours.

She uses different mediums and techniques to reveal emotions. To conceptualize her large-format portraits, Sophie Raskopf focuses her iconographic research on strong faces from different cultures, often bold and inspiring characters.
