Coming from the Beaux-Arts in Marseille where she touched everything except painting, Mely fell in love with it in 2017. After giving plastic arts lessons to children for 9 years, within 'a workshop that she had created, Mely decides to devote herself entirely to painting.
She paints large, realistic portraits in oils that can also incorporate more abstract and colorful background work, using mediums such as aerosol. Everyone can interpret and feel different images in their imagination. Experimentation is a basis for the evolution of his work.
"I always like to try out other avenues, other techniques, other research in my studio ... leaving myself free to go out of the way, find something there sometimes, and make my images grow. "
Always steeped in and immersed in the world of street art and street culture, Mely also has a practice of street art (frescoes, collages) and works regularly with other artists. She is part of the Kollectif D-Ratons bringing together artists using different mediums of artistic creation. She is also working on live painting / music performance projects.
