In her photographic shots and photo reports, Carol Aplogan takes a certain look at Architecture and Urban Design. His approach is as much artistic, aesthetic as poetic.
"During my travels, I let myself be guided into an urban dimension where I invite the unexpected to slip in. I am not an Architect, and I do not consider myself to be someone who knows Architecture. I am simply a passionate person who has dared to deepen in images this great complex theme with all the humility that I am given in this approach.
I travel the world, its cities with a simple, untechnical look and often my senses allow me to capture an image that I do not want to distort or fake with audacious montages out of respect for the Architect who built it.
I am not only looking for emotion, that very emotion is not the only definition of Art. The construction of my images can sometimes be devoid of them. Only creativity dominates. Reality as a medium, photography as an expression. The exterior and interior mixed, I transcribe a certain sense of my reality. "
