Corinne CESCA, born in 1963, grew up in an artistic family. It is at the School of Plastic Art of her town that she meets her teachers, former students of the Fine Arts, who initiate and train her in drawing, painting, sculpture and monotype print. She acquired the basics but also a spiritual vision, to develop her own artistic intimacy through the representation of the body. In 2017, she left her profession to devote herself full time to her artistic passion, monotype printmaking. Prize Hopeful of the Magazine Miroir de l'art in 2019 during the Salon Bellaz'art Bastille Design Center Paris A work on the representation of the body between appearance and disappearance. What appears to us our surreptitious or furtive emotion, a unique moment, which highlights its intensity that transcribes an immeasurable reality, manifestation of a hidden reality, represent the infigurable. She wants to testify and make us feel our humanity. Enjoying the pleasure of the gesture on the metal plate, removing, scratching, adding with the help of various tools and materials, she privileges the tasks, the imperfections starting essential to her creation, disappearing to let little by little her soul appear. Using particularly soft inks for their malleability to heat, and their durability, thick or melted, their fineness of line; mixing transparencies and reliefs, materials and drawing, she lives the soul of her characters. The final stage: revealing the work on paper with her press, produces a unique and precious print. Corinne CESCA gives to her works the feeling of a depth of soul, a disturbing presence that challenges and questions us.
In 2006, Corinne Cesca met her teachers, former students of the Beaux-Arts, at the School of Plastic Art in Savigny sur Orge, who trained her in drawing, painting, sculpture and monotype printing. An obstinate work on the representation of the body, thousands of drawings, she explores techniques and approaches. She acquires the basics but also a spiritual vision, to develop her own artistic intimacy through the representation of the body.
In 2017, she left her profession to devote herself full time to her artistic passion, the monotype print and acquired a professional large format etching press. Monotype is a print within a print, it is a non-engraving printing process that produces a single print, with a high textural quality, unique and precious.
