After a career as a textile designer for various silk companies during a whole professional life, the subject imposed itself to Odile Faure: the floral theme which historically inspired the work of the textile industry in general and the silk industry in Lyon in particular.
Life in a rural environment and a naturalist spouse developed this attraction for work on the beauties of nature, between the botanical illustration of Pierre-Joseph Redouté, the "Raphael of flowers", and the modernism of Georgia O'Keeffe.
