Frans van den Boogaard

I am a visual artist and I live in the middle of the high mountains of the Pyrenees. This is where I find my inspiration for my paintings and installations. The tone of my paintings is rather black and ochre in oils and acrylics. The mountains and majestic landscapes, all sober without superfluous. My installations and my 3D works, often in rust color, are playful assemblages, revealing an uneasy perception of the world, sometimes with a touch of humor. My works reflect my vision of human destiny and its solidarity with the vital and destructive forces of nature.
