Joëlle Buard's career started with studies in market finance in London and Ningbo, followed by a career in international trade and digital marketing in Hong Kong and Paris. One day, by chance, she visited the Parisian studio of sculptor Magali Nourissat. This manual abstraction immediately brought a real passion to her.
Joëlle Buard loves the infinite possibilities of working with clay until she finds the right emotion to freeze it in a bronze.
It is in the tales and fables, vector of moral education, that Joëlle finds her main inspiration. Their imaginary power and their emotional power have therapeutic virtues to cross the ages and the existential doubts.
She sees in them a form of return to the first visual narrations.
