1927 born in Brussels. 1944 Studies forward at 1948 Typography and bugillustration at the National School of Architecture and Decorative Arts (La Cambre) Brussels. 1947 First separate exhibition with paintings at the Lou CoSyn gallery in Brussels. 1949 becomes Member of the COBRA group (Karel Appel, Constant, Corneille, Christian Dotremont, Asger Jorn, Carl-Henning Pedersen, etc.) and is part of the first exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
