The art of the line, a direct expression of the state of mind, has been the essence of her journey since the early years of her life. Born in Osaka, Japan, Yuuko began Japanese calligraphy at the age of 6 with renowned masters. Since 1987, the basis of her work has been in Paris where she was responsible for the Japanese and Buddhist art workshops at the Guimet Museum from 2002 to 2011.
Her journey has always been enriched by precious discoveries from different cultures and natures. Today, she experiments with all new materials, such as imitation leather, to give new nuances, new reliefs and features to the visual expression of the mystery of life and death.
