Alain Ballereau was born in Paris in 1956, and has been painting since the age of 14. Since 1988, he has regularly exhibited his work in France and abroad. In 1991, he moved to the Tarn et Garonne and devoted himself entirely to painting.
"My paintings let the viewer walk along vast bare or inhabited plains where the idea of the hill or cliff, the tree and water, the shoreline that is discovered... It is a stroll through spaces, interrupted only by the limit of the support, and the places follow one another, as in the course of the walk..."
