Chrystèle Gonçalves’ intention is to transport the spectator into his own universe of interpretation, not by recreating reality as it exists but rather by suggesting an atmosphere, an emotion. Her interest in "humble" subjects and in the expression of the tension of spaces between things, naturally makes her play with the ambiguity between the two genres of landscape and still life. She lives and works in Marseille.
