Mariella Lanata was born in Peru in 1958.
After a 3-year training at the School of Fine Arts of the University "La Catolica", Lima, Peru, Mariella decided to leave her country for France. She studied at the Ecole Supérieure Met in Penninghen, and at the Académie Charpentier in Paris, where she obtained a degree in graphic arts, advertising and photography. Mariella was also a photo assistant for photographer Claude Gaspari in Paris. Thanks to Malkovsky’s free dance, she was able to develop a pictorial language in movement... It is inspired by Peruvian and European cultural influences. She exhibits in Peru, and regularly in France. She worked in lithography at the Maison du Roy in Sigean.
