My artistic curiosity very early on turned to everyday life and the everyday objects that make it up. My initiatory journeys were hardly more than a metre or two in radius. It is in this area that I met, about ten years ago, the household sponge or the cardboard brick of milk or fruit juice. They became the leading figures of my artistic explorations, which have no other purpose than to interfere in the intimacy of the art lover, who is privately responsible for washing dishes or repairing any household incident.
The challenge then became to make a sponge look like an object of art (to make bladders look like lanterns, in a way...). This is where the magic of artistic creation lies, especially in the choice of material, dish or volume, even 3D, and in the perseverance to highlight the banality that is our lot, all of us, art lovers and artists.
