A mainly figurative painter of modern expression, he combines the rigour of composition with the quality of a great colourist. After having started by presenting paintings at the Salon de l’Ecole Française (les Indépendants) in 1963 and exhibited in several regional exhibitions. Taken by his professional obligations, he reluctantly hangs up his brushes, but the passion remains intact. Enjoying his retirement, he devotes himself entirely to his art. More attached to the eyes of others than to the market value of his work, he keeps his habits. In this he shows himself to be a true artist whose coast is assured, solid.
Friend of the sculptor and painter Georges ARTEMOFF, having worked with MODIGLIANI, PICASSO, BRAQUE, etc... it is on the influence that Michel de GOUTTES is passionate about contemporary art. Trained at the now classic Post Cubism School, as at BRAQUE, the palette is very full and complete. The themes are rich and varied, in the great tradition of solidity.
