For several years, Yann Argentinian painted conventional landscapes, before deciding to ban the easels, for the sake of "letting go" and directly hanging his paintings on the wall. Spontaneity becomes his key word. It replaces the brushes with various and varied tools: rolls, spatulas, large knives. He abandons small paintings for larger formats. He paints in the fresh in order to keep this spontaneity and transcribe his emotions with authenticity, without false penalty. The treatment of light, of which it has a certain sensitivity, becomes its main objective. He opts for urban and industrial landscapes close to his personality. Urban subjects offering a limitless playing field to stage the variations in natural or artificial lights. An immersion work in a materialist and modern space where atmospheres lead to silent dreams; Urban poetry.
