I see while painting, but I paint blind!
Plastic artist for about fifteen years, my practice is opposed to clean, ordered, compartmentalized painting, in short to a painting long composed. It is a practice that is more instinctive than intellectual, whose subject is the very act of painting. My plastic work is a game of balance between the control I exercise over the canvas and the freedom I leave to the material.
To allow this practice, I use a ready-to-use paint but which also has a particularity which is to be liquid.
I work with a rather simple process, on a canvas on the ground. Being above the canvas makes it easier to spread the paint and to have a freer movement. My paintings have in common the gesture. The canvas is the witness of the gesture because it is the one who operates the mechanism, it is the one who controls, directs and regulates the flow and quantity of paint.
Each painting is a unique experience, a moment of action in a concentrated, limited time.
