Valérie Auriel was trained at the Ateliers Beaux-Arts of the City of Paris in oil, engraving and drawing techniques based on living models. She has been exhibiting for about fifteen years. This dreamer finds her inspiration in fairy tales, the myths of popular culture, and imaginary places. In his paintings, wild animals interact with humans, women become magicians, forests evoke the Garden of Eden, the jungles of Douanier Rousseau or Gauguin. From memories, personal photographs, literary or artistic references, the artist creates a dreamlike, mysterious and mischievous universe.
