Romain Parlier was born in Paris on August 9, 1983 and has been practicing the art of drawing and painting since childhood. In 1997, his work won an award at the school competition of the Angoulême International Comic Book Festival... Quite early on, his approach to art was marked by heteroclism, the result of the influence exerted on him by the painter James Coignard, who lived with him during his teenage years. In addition to his graphic activities, he also studied music at the Antibes Conservatory and continued his higher studies in physics and then in the field of science and technology of human movement.
In 2010, Romain Parlier decided to refocus on painting and created his company to restore old frescoes. He notably participated in the restoration of the interior frescoes of Maurice de Benedetti’s villa in Nice. This experience encouraged him to introduce his own productions to the public, which led him to create his first solo exhibition "Langoureuse Ataraxie" in October 2012. Passionate about history and sociology, his artistic approach as a whole is based on these disciplines. If, first of all, his works, which have a figurative aspect, feature characters, these are often only the artifacts of a purely symbolic treatment....
