Valentine Chauvet is a young plastic artist and globetrotter at these lost hours. His artistic practice revolves around silkscreen printing but also installation, sculpture and photography. His work draws its influences as much from his imagination as from literature, or even from art history.

The composition, the line and the motifs are all details that appear as an invitation to explore his poetic worlds. These silkscreen prints play with the notion of strangeness and transform organic elements by giving birth to strange creatures. Thus, these works are revealed in an islet at the limit of the seabed and the land heights. These surrealist microcosms bring multiple readings at both the narrative and formal levels. It is therefore up to the viewer to explore these beaches of reverie and to invent his own visual narrative.

Graduated in Visual and Media Arts from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in 2016

Currently in Master’s degree in Art and Social Actions in Bordeaux
