Malvina SAUVAGE
Spain
  • KAZoART artist since 2020
  • 74 works

Born in 1961 in Colombes, Malvina lives and works in Valencia, Spain. She is a self-taught contemporary artist who has, throughout her career and existence, sought synergies and harmony with her environment, offering new perspectives and dimensions to spaces and objects. She is always looking for ways for her to explore new forms, new colours and new materials to express her emotions and creativity.

Malvina’s artistic universe is a colourful and naive one that is filled with an ecological, social and ethical consciousness and commitment. Imagining, designing and creating her artwork allows Malvina to fulfill herself and flourish, guided by her life philosophy: to protect everything/everyone around her.
She says her artistic approach has been very much influenced by her travels, in particular the world tour she embarked upon by herself in 2010. Questioning modern life styles, she finds inspiration in the places she visited and the people she met. Profoundly involved in the protection of the humankind and the environment, she has worked with recycled materials, offering them a second life.
Her artwork takes a humouristic look at man-made transformations of the environment while also observing them with a growing concern. Malvina aims at raising awareness of rain forest protection, the fight against deforestation, declining ecosystems and extinctions of species. She wants her art to be accessible, giving the viewer an opportunity to freely interpret her visual installations. Her creations invite them to question the sustainability of their life styles, their consumption habits and their ecological footprints.
