BIO She doesn't remember but Marie-Christine Palombit must have been born with a pencil in her hand! At seven, fourteen and sixteen, her budding talent is already spotted and rewarded at fairs, competitions and festivals thanks to her mother who doesn't wait for her daughter's approval to present her work. This shy girl will never leave her pencils and brushes to express herself again. She found the complementary rigour to her creativity in interior design, which she practiced for about ten years until her meetings with Ben Ami Koller and Gérard Bignolais, who encouraged her to present her work in galleries and exhibitions. We are in 1991, and Marie-Christine traces the first unties of the continuation of its history. The body, the movement, the woman nourish Marie-Christine's work. An evidence for this lover of others, whether they are from here or elsewhere. It is also evident in the creation, in 2005, of her workshop "ARTCORPUS" at the gates of Paris, in Montreuil. More than just a space dedicated to her production, it is a real interactive place, teeming with artistic creations, a must during the Open House in Montreuil. It is here that two directors will film the amplitude and generosity of Marie-Christine's creative gesture. In 2007, a film from the INA formation featuring her plastic work "Faire corps ou le geste créateur" under the direction of Bernard Monsigny (France 2, Envoyé Spécial, Pro CD, etc...) In 2015, Marcel Nakache directed "A la lumière du geste et du trait" during a scenography session where the artist created his "Organic Calligraphies" with his model. Sophie Verchère Founder of Ctout un Art DEMARCHE Following my exhibition "Femmes sauvages" of 2015, in the form of a journey installation, an encounter pushes me to go to Arizona in the United States to join forty women, walk together in the desert, practice Amerindian rites with the Navajo Indians and follow the teaching of "Ho rites of passage". Upon my return, nourished by these unique and initiatory experiences, I create a series of twenty 140 x 140 canvases on paper that I will marouflage on canvas. The restitution of this journey has given birth to a book which will be published in October 2020 by "L'oeil de la femme à barbe" (The Eye of the Bearded Woman). I have incorporated fluorescent pigments in my painting and these works have a double reading. Those in daylight symbolize what we perceive of the immediate form of material manifestations and the others, which require a black light, reveal another reading more underground and detached from reality, suggesting a more secret version, that of our unconscious territory. Since then, I have created a series of five 220 x 210 canvases on the theme of the Hero's Journey (a moniker proposed by Joseph Campbell) and continue to perfect my gesture and my technique of letting go through my calligraphic and monotype creations as well as my photographic shots that I call "poached Humus".
