Drypoint on Paper - Like the child in front of his model train, I imagine the topography of imaginary territories. I invent a world tour by scanning it with my eyes, like when you let your finger slide on the surface of a globe. From the infinitely large to the infinitely small, the world map becomes a motif oscillating between abstract and figurative, phantasmagorical landscapes and utopian cartographies. I imagine a new world. I’m taking over the place. I draw the boundaries. Fragments of spaces that emerge on the surface of paper, tiny fantastic biotopes, like so many passages to another place. I try to make the mind wander, to invite it to a journey to an exotic destination never before seen.
