Viviane Beaufumé paints abstract, serene and silent poems. Her work is mainly based on acrylic paint, to which she has gradually added ink, greasy pastel and collages. Inspired by lyrical abstraction, she plays a lot on the material, whether it is superimpositions or layers of transparency. The strength of the colours is his signature.
"« I paint, that’s all". Because how can we explain what comes from the depths of our being? To explain it is already to give up this extraordinary freedom of abstract expression, which allows me to walk through painting to discover a world of infinite possibilities to reveal. The act of painting, the strength of colours and the freedom of gesture prevail over words and words. No evasion, no dodging, no dodging, to escape the immediate creative act."
Viviane Beaufumé was awarded the Painting Prize at the Salon du Vésinet in 2015, and that of the City of Sceaux in 2016. She exhibits permanently at the Galerie Lumières de l’Art (92) and regularly in France, the Paris region and abroad. A page was dedicated to him in the special edition "Liberté" of Miroir de l’Art.
