This cyanotype is part of a series of works on jazz.

The work focuses on anatomy: the musician is one with his instrument. The approach of the characters is sculptural, with a work on the light. The final rendering uses the cyanotype technique and its characteristic indigo color which fits perfectly with the universe of jazz.

Germain Boudier was born in 1974 in Suresnes. After a diploma of architect DPLG and several years in a Parisian architectural agency, Germain Boudier turns to the comic strip. He produced the scenarios, drawings and colors of several albums published by Futuropolis, La Boîte à Bulles and Sixto.

At the same time he develops his work as a painter and sculptor.
