Philippe Perennou was born in Quiberon on November 10, 1958. Very observant of nature, he was quickly attracted to painting and particularly to watercolour painting executed on the motif. Enriched by the teaching that this technique brought him, in 1986 he decided to devote himself entirely to what had become for him a passion and to join the regime of Author-Artists. He uses techniques such as oil, acrylic, watercolour or pastel, respectively being chosen for their own specificities. The subjects are multiple and classified by very precise themes: urban landscapes, urban and port impressions, the navies, Venice, etc.... Combined with the different techniques, this creates infinite possibilities to create, translate and express oneself in a variety of writings, thus avoiding the ease present in all repetitions.
"My style is figurative, but with a constant desire for abstraction, juxtaposing the precision of a line with the blurring of a key. Thus dematerialized in places, the subject, although always present, leaves room for interpretation. My paintings are testimonies of impressions and feelings, capturing in our daily lives the furtive moments that inexorably bind us to our environment."
