"By immersing myself in children’s stories as well as fables and legends, I created a series of drawings in which I set up female characters accompanied by animals, playing on a shift in the characteristics commonly attributed to animals.
In these drawings the wolves are not necessarily mean, nor are the little girls totally innocent.
These women, inspired by Renaissance madonnas, sculptures of Greek goddesses, or characters from art history, are accomplices of animals in unspoken stories, which each spectator can build according to his own sensitivity." - Marta Grassi
Technique: Black stone, gouache and dry pastels on Canson paper 160 g/m2.
The work will be sent well protected and rolled in a double rigid cardboard tube. Possibility to frame it with an additional cost (see framing examples on picture n°2).
