Born in 1987 in Paris, from an artistic mother, I have been drawing since I was a child. Amazed by the atmospheres perfectly transcribed by the effects of shadows and light in some animated films, I joined the Emile Cohl school in order to do 3D animation. I learn many techniques in different fields such as illustration, sculpture, comics, cartoons... During the living model classes, I discovered a particular interest in painting and embarked on a series of acrylic portraits, because I have always been passionate about the representation of faces and of the Human in general. Since 2012 I have been returning to illustration and to this search for a particular atmosphere, this time centred on a cosy universe and moments of well-being. Through small refined drawings mixing flat felt in pastel colours and clear lines in fine felt, I try to capture the atmosphere of these small simple moments in life when a light, a sound or an addition of details will create a feeling of tranquility and sometimes a "Madeleine de Proust" effect. Inspiration is based on where I work. I like to settle down in cafés or on their terraces, in a park, in a cosy lounge... The scenes of cafés or walks often come back. For each scene I visualize all the elements that compose it: the sweetness of the air, the freshness of the shade, the oblique rays of autumn, the singing of a chickadee resonating in the trees, the smell and sound of the rain, the scent of an undergrowth and its wet freshness, the comfort of a cup of tea and a good book, the smell of coffee and toasted bread in the morning... It’s a bubble of lightness and cosyness where you like to escape!
