The idea of customizing masks is not new in Tarek's work since he has already made some parts between 2010 and 2018. During his stay in Cameroon where he painted walls, shared with other painters or even chatted with people who discovered his work, he acquired many African masks. Back in France, he customised some of them and painted a large series of canvases entitled "Mask(s)". This theme has been close to his heart for a long time as on many occasions he painted canvases with masks and made several drawings on this theme. His series "Tribal" as well as "Man of the Woods" have also generated fictitious masks of African inspiration...

Tarek is a French multidisciplinary artist. He very early discovered the graffiti movement in which he actively participated, but the camera quickly took the place of aerosol cans, turning him into a privileged witness of French graffiti. He is the author of a book on French graffiti at the age of 19, which is still the reference in the genre today. If over the years he has developed his art on other media including comics where he is very successful, aerosol cans are never very far away. These last ones still allow him to give life on the walls of cities to all his fantastic and colorful universe.

He has written nearly seventy books, some of which have become essential works: the comic series Sir Arthur Benton and La guerre des Gaules... Some of his books will win him about twenty awards in France and Belgium.

He has been listed on Artprice since 2014 and his paintings have been included in the collections of several art lovers around the world: Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Rennes, Brussels, Montreal, New York, Geneva, Zurich, Hamburg, Venice, Lodz, Prague, Athens, Zagreb, Budapest, Kribi, São Paulo, Dakar... And the collections of museums, cities and societies: Viltaïs (Moulins), Ville de Guéret, Croix-Rouge Française (Paris), Ad Tatum (Paris), Monin (Bourges), Havas Worldwide (Paris), Ville de Pacé, ENC Bessières, Ville de Moulins, Musée MoLA (Paris), Graff’art (Saint-Ouen), Street art city (Lurcy-Lévis), Hôpital La Porte Verte (Versailles), Shoes or no Shoes Museum and King Albert II Institute (Belgium) and Havas Worldwide (Tunis)
