In some of the drawings, the categories of graphics I've developed mix. They are most often phases of rupture, of intense research towards another graphic path. This is the case of this drawing, between archaic sketches and abstract mazes. The gesture that is usually both loose and disciplined becomes as if crazy about this paradox that has been preserved for too long. Here again we recognize a will for form, churches and buildings, and then the colour sought a different contrast, detonating, reminiscent of the hot and cold mixture sometimes found in nature, if only in the glass and the fuchsia pink of the flowers. This drawing, although signed, is also legible turned over, in my opinion, as in the additional view proposed.

Myriam Eyann comes from a family with multiple regional affiliations. She has established privileged ties in Burgundy where she currently lives.

Very early on, drawing took an important place, naturally extended by architectural studies. She continues to work on the trace, the search for what endures, to find what binds, "what insists on existing, in the words of Michel Tournier in Vendredi ou les limbes du pacifique", she says.

With drawing, writing and photography, it is also her own imprint that she tracks, that of her gestures, the human trace shared with the whole group.

Myriam Eyann works essentially with markers and felt-tip pens, so nothing is erased and without going back, the creative position of the human being, its foundations, its freedom, appear as the rest of a passage.

His influences are to be found in the intuitive and obsessive work of Art Brut artists, but also in American abstract expressionism, calligraphy and organic architecture.

"What appears below the lines when you take the time to lift them is one of the few things that I think makes sense. " - Myriam Eyann
