A moving, multidisciplinary artist, Skima, whose real name is Maxime Thevenet, was born in 1994 in Burgundy. Initially trained in technical drawing, intended for architectural lines, regular and in perspective, Skima soon leaves this framework to discover his taste for hyperrealism and live from this new but obvious passion. By giving rhythm to straightforward lines and delicate melted lines, Skima gives life to models, faces, feelings, at the tip of his pencils or his black stone. Influenced by great artists such as Lee Jeffries, Emanuele Dascanio, Julian Farrar and Clio Newton, Skima practiced for years to improve his art and his discipline while giving way to his instinct as a young artist. An alliance of creativity and sharpened technique, refined over time, his works perfectly echo the photographs they take, to create a disturbance and lead the spectator to question their nature: drawing, painting or photography? In this dynamic, Skima decides in 2018 to devote himself exclusively and professionally to his art. To date, he has created more than fifty canvases, faithful to the hyperrealism movement, but all imbued with a very singular emotion.
