Julien Sama

Young artist, Julien Sama mainly uses painting and drawing as a means of experimentation and expression. His main research axes are science, essentially astrophysics and biology, but also philosophy, history, literature and spirituality. "Through my art, I try to share my" quest for freedom " In a social and visual context where hyperconnected and all control are dominant. Through a conceptualization of space and time, I offer abyss of repeated patterns in different works, so that a visual extension Of my perceptions of the world is effective. Like an "unrevable universe" expressed by cosmologist Stephen Hawking, I explore the absence of border and seek to go beyond the edges and limits of my images. " Julien Samacette Quest of space is so much illustrated by the presence of the stars (sun, moon, desert, space stations) as by games of mergers and transformation of painted subjects. Spread a motif, distort and complexify it to better get lost, then becomes a curious and captivating game for the spectator, a kind of fantastic journey in the heart of an almost parallel world. Inhabited by both pictorial and philosophical or even scientific references ... He then opens the doors of a world which he describes as "sensitive both childish and mature". Constantly, the visuals come to reactivate patterns of the history of art, architecture, but also of mass culture or information, while developing new landscapes, impregnated with light and liveliness: All these images serve the ambition of a cosmogony of an inner world, with its own codes, laws and archetypes. Finally, he does not want his art to remain airtight, when he has always chosen titles that work like windows to our sensitive world.
