Betty Pelmont

Betty Pelmont greatly draws his inspiration both from the nature and the diversified landscape of the banks of the Loire, as in the artistic and literary wealth of the Caribbean Islands. The authors such as André Schwarz-Bart and Léonora Miano, George Sand or Paolo Coelho accompanied his artistic evolution. Its Guadeloupe and Berrichonne origins have exerted on it a deep influence, both by the relationship with nature and by the stories of resistance (browning, German occupation) which unite these two regions, however so distant geographically. His creations thus combine history, nature, feminism and adventurous explorations through various forms and colors. Jean-Michel Basquiat said: "I start an image and I finish it. I don't think about art when I work. I try to think about life.". Betty Pelmont's design is finally close to that of Basquiat. Above all, painting remains for Betty Pelmont an intimate and interior experience that she wishes to share with each.
