LN le Cheviller was born in Paris and studied art there. She has lived in Charente since 1993 to be able to develop her artistic practice more freely.
She explores and mixes many techniques: painting, engraving, monotype, photography, digital printmaking, installation. She practices abstraction a lot, but can choose figuration for particular projects (the faces of child prisoners, the surface of the sea...).
Her work is visually very varied, to get as close as possible to the themes on which she wants to work. She produces series that can be quite important, such as the "56 paintings", which ended with the exhaustion of the subject, the medium and the chosen format.
Finally, she can integrate text or photos into her paintings or engravings. It has been inspired by authors such as Virginia Woolf, Roland Barthes, Cormac McCarthy, Marguerite Duras and themes such as ecology, war, and currently, in particular, migrants....
